Why we exist
Once AI becomes part of digital infrastructure, the applications you work in and the AI models you use must not be tightly coupled. Most providers fuse the two. Using another AI provider's models is then often impossible. Switch provider, and you automatically switch the application you work in as well. Steinkauz AI exists to put you in control of how AI is used.
Sovereign use of AI starts by decoupling the application from the AI provider. You decide which applications you use, and who processes your data. Transparency, control, and traceability are then not new tenets, but the result of applying the idea of sovereignty strictly.
You choose the right AI model for the job, control and regulate how it is used, and can later reconstruct exactly what the AI did.

Why the owl
The little owl (Athene noctua) was already regarded in ancient Greece as the emblem of Athena and a symbol of wisdom. That idea underpins the name, the logo, and the company: clarity in a field that is often opaque, and a foundation on which you can build.
