Your keys, or Gateway
Steinkauz is the control plane for your AI infrastructure. Bring your own keys to connect inference providers, or use the Gateway Plan for instant multi-provider access.
Bring Your Own Key (BYOK)
Connect supported public, private-cloud, or on-prem providers using your own API keys.
- Your keys, your provider relationship. No inference markup from Steinkauz.
- Azure OpenAI, OpenAI-compatible endpoints, Anthropic, Google, and more
- BYOK stays uncapped by Steinkauz until you set optional Budgets in Settings → Budgets
- Combine with the Gateway Plan in the same workspace when needed
Routing policy is configured under Governance. Incompatible requests are blocked before inference.
Gateway Plan
Preconfigured access to the Vercel AI Gateway with an included inference budget. Multi-provider access without managing your own keys. Admins allocate that included Gateway budget through Budgets.
- Included inference budget funds the System Gateway pool you allocate in Settings → Budgets
- Configure provider order, allowlists, and optional zero data retention
- Fastest path from signup to production use
