What's the difference between Cloud and Private Deployment?

Same software. Cloud is hosted by us in the EU. Private Deployment runs in your data centre or your own cloud account: you operate it; we license the software, help you go live, ship updates, and can stay on for support. You bring your own model keys either way.

Are there usage limits?

Accepted Answer

Cloud has published limits: how many requests you can make, how many conversations can run at once, API rate, how long data is kept, transcript storage, and uploaded files. They are listed on this page. Budgets you set still cap what you spend on inference. Private Deployment has no Cloud usage limits.

What happens if we go over a limit?

Accepted Answer

If you go over Cloud's included limits for a month, we get in touch. Two months in a row, we talk. We do not shut inference down. Budgets you set yourself are different: when a Budget runs out, chat and API through that Budget stop until the next period or you raise the cap.

Can I change later?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Talk to us if you want to move between Cloud and Private Deployment. If the Cloud price changes, it applies at the next billing period, with notice and a right to cancel.

Does this product include usage of AI models?

Accepted Answer

No. Steinkauz AI is the policy layer. You connect your own model keys and pay your providers directly. That is how the product is meant to be used, on Cloud and Private Deployment. There is no included inference.

How does pricing compare to using providers directly?

Accepted Answer

You pay Steinkauz AI for the policy layer. Inference is billed by your providers. There is no included inference budget.

Can I use Steinkauz AI programmatically?

Accepted Answer

Yes. API access is included on Cloud and Private Deployment. Point existing tools and custom software at OpenAI-compatible endpoints with Steinkauz AI API keys. The same models, routing, budgets, and evidence apply as for every other request. See our API Access feature page for details.

How does Steinkauz AI control where my data goes?

Steinkauz AI does not decide the path. You do. With data routing policy, you set sensitivity defaults for messages and files and assign an environment class to each provider. Steinkauz AI blocks incompatible chat and API requests before inference. API keys also carry a default sensitivity and a minimum provider environment. Is there a minimum number of organisation members?

No. Cloud is one organisation price, whether you have one member or many. Inviting people does not change what you pay.

Can one person belong to more than one organisation?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Each organisation has its own subscription and Budgets. Entitlements follow the active organisation you select in the app.
